About this session

Under the current Administration, trade policy and related investigations have been linked to efforts to decrease forced labor in global supply chains.  In this session, we will be joined by Dr. Laura Murphy and Ms. Anasuya Syam, both experts on trade policy and forced labor, in conversation with local labor organizers and interested investors to assess the impact of these policy changes on the treatment of workers in global supply chains.

Many countries have vowed to impose forced labor import bans to resolve investigations into unfair trade practices by the current Administration.  Will this improve the situation on the ground?  And what questions should investors ask of portfolio companies as they navigate these new risks?
