Nature on the Balance Sheet: Biodiversity, Climate Risk, and Investor Priorities

Nature and biodiversity loss around the globe is raising increasingly urgent questions for investors, with major implications for corporate supply chains, commodity access, water security, insurance exposure, and long-term asset valuations. This issue is tightly interwoven with climate mitigation and adaptation, as deforestation and ecosystem degradation continue to undermine decarbonization efforts and increase exposure to floods, droughts, extreme heat, wildfire, and other physical climate hazards.
