About this session
Nature and biodiversity loss around the globe is raising increasingly urgent questions for investors, with major implications for corporate supply chains, commodity access, water security, insurance exposure, and long-term asset valuations. This issue is tightly interwoven with climate mitigation and adaptation, as deforestation and ecosystem degradation continue to undermine decarbonization efforts and increase exposure to floods, droughts, extreme heat, wildfire, and other physical climate hazards. As international attention turns to this month's Biodiversity COP17 in Armenia and global reporting guidance continues to evolve, this session will explore the current state of play for nature-related risk and disclosure to help investors best leverage engagement across high-impact sectors and drive meaningful action to preserve and protect nature.
