Together with CBIS’ shareholder advocacy team, Ray advances Catholic social teaching through active ownership – using company engagement, shareholder resolutions, and proxy voting to influence corporate practices to be moral, just, and sustainable.
Previously, Ray spent a decade with the California Catholic Conference of Bishops, leading advocacy on education and integral ecology. He began his vocation as a high school teacher and served 18 years as principal, as well as four years as an Assistant Secretary of Education for the U.S. Catholic bishops.
Ray holds an MPA from Arizona State University and an M.Ed. from the University of San Francisco.
